Gun, Red Dead Revolver, and the Wild Arms games. These are just a half-decent Wild West themed games that have come in the last ten years. Wild Arms I give credit for having such a long running RPG series, I even enjoy my copy of Wild Arms 3, but when I think about the Wild West, I can not image cell shaded anime characters shooting goblins in the face with snipers and shotguns. Like the Wild Arms series, do not get me wrong, this simply is not the Wild West type of genre that I'd like to see more.
1800 in the United States during the exploration and adventure, where ordinary people weathered the elements, treacherous landscapes and wild animals to catch a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean and make their fortune in gold. Today, sand box games are all the rage and so open Wild West game looks doable,. Only pictures of Nikko GTA4 on a horse instead of the car and using a six shooter instead of a rocket launcher
It surprises me a bit that we are not flooded with every Western-style games can be imagined as if we were to western films. Ask anyone if they ever heard of John Wayne or Clint Eastwood, and after asking what you are doing in their house, they will probably say da.Jednostavan answer is that we do not see more wild west games because Japan has the most say in the the types of games will be developed and, because their history is much different than ours, we see more of samurais and ninjas, but my cowboy.
Do not get me wrong, I like to explore a fictional video game lands like Filgaia and regardless of the name in the world of Final Fantasy games, but it would be a breath of fresh air and much more interesting in the landscape games along the lines look like real places. Nothing will be more exciting than to explore before the settled areas of the American West and ride off into the sunset as we have seen so many heroes not films, or recognize the landmark in the game that you actually see in real life.
Thanks to advancements in open source technology, players are given the driver's seat when it comes to what you want in a video game. Maybe in future we will see more games that try to satisfy the restless spirit of America that we all seem to have, because I do not know about you, but the Oregon Trail just does not seem to cut it.
